The Chezum Family Ranch is located in Eastern Montana. We are just 32 miles from the cow town of Miles City, Montana and just 21 miles off of interstate I94. Miles City is well known for its annual bucking horse sale which is held in May of each year. The Chezum Family Ranch has been producing top quality horses since 1950. All our mares and stallions are registered in the International Horse Club Registry . Many of our studs are also registered with the New York Jockey Club or the American Quarter Horse Association . All of our horses are Thoroughbred with enough Quarter Horse breeding to produce a deep bodied horse with a large lung capacity, and meet the stringent measurements set by the U.S. Calvary. These horses make excellent ranch and leisure horses as well as cutting horses, roping horses and barrel racers. We have a large variety of colors from roans to sorrels, bays to buckskins, in a variety of ages. The International Horse Club originated from the files kept to select horses capable of serving the needs of the U.S. Cavalry. In 1940 Dr. Ben K. Green, veterinarian and horseman founded a registry based on these measurements, which is devoted to the breeding of a performance horse of durable soundness and versatile ability. |
